Gidday from New Zealand

I am a older generation train buff from down under and remember the good old days of steam. Having traveled around the world a fair bit I always found time to check out the railways in which every country I was visiting. Look forward to participating in the forum.

Hi Ray,
I am also an older generation steam fan. I worked as a fireman & driver on the Rhodesian Railways. Having traveled the world, did you ever get to Rhodesia or South Africa?

Welcome to the forum Ray.

Looking foward to reading your posts. Did you see the Fell locomotives on the North Island? And wasn't there a class of electric loco's that worked primarily in a tunnel in Auckland?
