Manchester Picadilly Art project

Hello there! I have been interested in trains and trainspotting for quite a while now, and my interest in the subject has inspired me to do an Art project about trainspotting for my degree.

I have made a good start and am creating some nice images but what I really need is to meet and talk to more spotters and find out more about the hobby.
Ideally I would like to make some portraits, by taking photographs to eventually paint, with information of people's favourite trains and how they got interested in the first place.

I will be at Manchester Picadilly station, platform 13/14 this Thursday (3rd December) between about 10am and 2pm if there is anyone who would like to get involved and be part of my project, please feel free to email me, or reply on here.

Thanks a lot,
Ruth

Now now Pre65 ! Whatever has Ruth done to you? She doesn't deserve that!

Ruth, I wish you luck with your project. You should find a couple of spotters to help you. Just sorry that I am too far away.

Hello Ruth.Rail and welcome to the Railway Forum. Best of luck with the project, hope all goes well. Bristol is a bit to far from manchester for an old git like me.

Welcome to the forum Ruth & good luck with your project. I'm too far from Manchester I'm afraid.
