Hello to everyone
Just to introduce myself. I have had a lifetime interest in railways and am old enough to remember the big 4. Particularly interested in the LB&SCR.

Hollo Grosvenor, welcome to the forum.
You remember the big four? Did you mean the LMS and the "other three"?
I can't help you much with the LB&SC, I was a Northerner before flitting to milder climes. I enjoy seeing the Summer visitors to the Paignton & Kingswear railway, they make a change from 142's and 150's.

Welcome to the forum Grosvenor. All I remember is steam in the mid to late 50's and early 60's, but they are happy memories for me.
