New Manchester Victoria-Selby service

Northern plan to run a train every hour between Manchester Victoria and Leeds, in addition to their current Manchester Victoria to Leeds service. Apparently the extra trains will come from the current Oldham route as it is prepared for Metrolink services.

As 142s are mainly used on the Oldham service does this mean that 142s could be penciled in on routes where they are currently used to free up 156s or 158s for the new service?

The possible return of 142s on the Liverpool-ManAirport line? This seems to have many 156s. Didn't Northern Rail have plans for express Man Vic to Leeds services? Possibly the Selby ones will be express to Leeds and carry on as far as Selby.
