History needed

Help me out if you can folks
We visited Devon recently and I was thoroughly happy to visit two Steam Railways
Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company (the old Paignton & Dartmouth Railway)
South Devon Railway ( the old Dart Valley Railway)

I have managed to find identities on all but one loco
It was built by the Yorkshire Engine Company
it's an 0-6-0
I think it is a Diesel electric because of a plate of BTH (British Thomson-Houston) it carries the number 2745


I would like to know
it's YEC number and build
where it worked and for who and it's identity there

Now there is nothing about it on the SDR website does anyone know anything about it as my usual source of shunter info is giving me a 404 message (www.preservedshunters.co.uk)

Hi Gray, sorry I have to go out so I can't do the research myself but if you have a look in my gallery there is a shot of Llangollens YEC shunter which seems to be from the same batch, I think there is a bit of info on Llans website about its background that might lead you to some historical facts about the one you saw.

Ta mate but Llangollens is an 0-4-0DE

Just checked the Preserved Railway Stocklist and the only additional detail is LO52 and Date of 1960
For the South Devon Railway.

Thanks got the info from someone about 10 minutes after posting here
that Yorky is

YEC 2745 of 1959 and worked at NCB Agecroft After withdrawal in 1984, it went to Chatterley Whitfield Mining Museum at Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent. When that closed, it was purchased privately and brought to the SDR in 1994 and is a very useful engine for shunting and yard pilot duties.

My problem was I didn't know it was called Yorky and that is what the website refers to it as
