Hi Pete
For the answer to the question I use watered down PVA but with some added washing up liquid to reduce surface tension I apply it to already laid ballast using a pippette slowly to give it chance to permeate under the ballast and track Remember once done the track is stuck firmly to the baseboard The forum is BIG and has lots that will help you and also you may be able to help us too look forward to seeing you around

Hello Pete and welcome to the Railway Forum. I have always laid the ballast, sprayed a fine mist of water over it to fix the ballast slightly. I then still find watered down (50/50) mix of PVA and a drop or two of washing up liquid applied with a dropper works well for me.
