I have to admit I don't like the 37 in DB Schenker red. It looks garish.

If you ask me, it's a garish red on ANYTHING.
Dave.

I don't know which B&Q mixed the paint for DBS but it certainly doesn't appear to be the same red that they use for their German locos.

Saw 37 670 today on Arpley yard. It looks like a Triang model from the 1960s. Glad it's been given a new lease of life though.

37670 failed at Reading on Thursday with a D.S.D fault and was towed Dit to Crewe Basford Hall and then onto Warrington Arpley for repairs. It could be working tomorrow on the Holyhead -Carlisle excursion if repaired in time.

...and that's even MORE garish than the UK version; slightly o/t, but, to be honest, I've never been a fan of ANY DB liveries except the red & cream as used on the 103 class electrics. Maybe it's just me & my impeccable sense of good taste? (Yeah, right). Come to that, other unhappy liveries (in my humble opinion) are ATW's turquoise & cream, and the purple & green colour scheme that's now thankfully disappearing from the LM units.

And wasn't that a TEE livery as opposed to a DB one?
