Class 37 in DB Schenker livery

There was a class 37 in DB Schenker livery at Basford Hall, Crewe this evening. [Sorry I didn't get the number, or a photo] I didn't realise that they would be repainting these ?

Seems a bit random. I didn't know DB Schenker was really using 37's anymore, except for maybe one or two for railtours?

37670 is now painted in DBS Traffic Red and was in Crewe yesterday evening. I believe that 37419 has also been repainted.
37670 and EWS liveried 37401 are currently making their way to Scotland for Northern Belle duties.

Well it was definitely with another 37, so I guess that was it

It would have been 37670 and 37401 you saw, as 419 is still out of traffic with a speedometer fault. 37401 and 670 are now back on Warrington Arpley.

I saw 37670 in it's new livery for the first time at Warrington today. I think the DB Schenker livery suits the 59/66's but I'm not so sure about the 37's. Having said that, it still looks a lot smarter than it did.

It suits the slab sided locos more, it'll look great on 60s and 92s.

Really the grey roof should have been extended onto the bonnets, like the 97s.

Still, I've yet to see it in the flesh.

HI I too saw a Class 37 in DB red at Bescot 18.15 tonight I also could not get the number it was in the station area and I was on the M6. To note it had a small nameplate fitted 37670?

Indeed it was 37670, it had arrived on 0W37 from Warrington Arpley, ready to take over 6W94 Thingleys - Tywyn CWR train, but W94 was 243 late through Fenny Compton so I doubt it'll make it up the cambrian. I'm not impressed!:(

Atleast the fact that DBS have started to paint a few hopefully demonstrates a couple still have a bit of a future. Maybe there could be other opporunities There's still a few 37's stored in the yardit would be great to see a few more!

Just wish I'd the camera kit in the boot today, as I'd come off the m'way and got some shots, they'd been posted on RPA pages by now. One missed opportunity, better luck next time?
