The number of journeys made on rural railway lines in Devon and Cornwall more than doubles in the last five years.

Now if FGW supply extra carriages, who knows how many more people will use the trains.
The usual 142's and 153's between Paignton and Exmouth are full to capacity for the majority of their journeys. Simplifying the fares structure would help a great deal. The myriad fares available put many people off train travel. |

The joys of the privatised railway, 1980's rubbish 142/143 stock, with poor riding limited capacity too, rode the 'Barney' in both types last summer, shocking indeed.... FGW seem to think a relivery cures all ills for some reason too...but it's good to see people using our local lines though, just hurry up back to Tavistock!
