This is just typical of Bob Crow,

Instead of talking to the management its just STRIKE,STRIKE,STRIKE.

Just divert them down the West Coast and shut him up.

I am sorry but I read nothing in that story that would change my opinion of Bob Crow or the RMT.

All the RMT wants is to cause maximum hassle to the travelling public and to the freight sector that is trying its hardest to get lorries off the road. This type of action does nothing to prove to people that WE the railway are here to run a service. If we can't run a train our customers don't say Oh its ok its Network Rail thats on stike not, (insert company), They just see the bloody railway not delivering on their contract again and this just put more bums on buses seats or more gas guzzling lorries back on the road.

As one of the comments states. When WE are on strike the high hied yins of the union are in their offices keeping warm and getting paid whilst the workforce are out freezing their bits off for nothing.

And yes I am in a union ASLEF but having started my working career in the military I personally see strike action as a total last resort as it does no good for my industry and more importantly it does no good for me putting food on my famillies table.

So management can do exactly as it wants.
The working conditions railway employees enjoy were hard fought for over many years.
It is not Bob Crow decides on strike action but the membership.
And would be the case with ASLE&F.(can't remember general secs name)
I have been a trade Union member all my working life (left school 1965) & have been on strike once(one day)when I was a member of ASLE&F

As a member of the RMT i must say that to say that all the union want to do is top cause maximum hassle as you put it to the travelling public is wrong in my mind.

It is all about coast's and networkrail trying to cut out coasts , do you think that the public would be happy if they think there not safe on there daily train to work.

Yet again Bob Crow is made out to be a villian but he is only doing as his membership is asking to be done.

they will vote and decided what action is to take place not Bob Crow.

It will only get worse belive me as networkrail is trying to push thorugh new t&c's for it's p.way staff,so what you may say,but if they think i am taking a pay cut of £ 8000, they must be off the planet.

So it could be a long bad time for the poor passengers

Ah! 'tis the old Unions: "demand" and Management: "seek" ploy!......never the reverse..

Of course our "unbiased British press" (oh my god) will of course report it all "accurately"........
