It ain't like that 'ere
My Dutch daughter sent me an interesting news link last night. On Friday the Dutch parliament voted to allocate €1.2 million to the voluntary sector in order to bring steam locomotive brake systems up to date:

There can't be many governments that would do that.
Judging from some of the comments made in the feedback the decision isn't universally popular ![]()

According to the BBC this morning, there are only 4 countries in the world that borrow more than the UK. I can't see any government in the UK giving up its tax on cars and lorries fuel for the main railways, never mind preserved railways.
