The Shanghai Maglev is very impressive. I travelled on it last summer. It took 15 mins to get out to the Airport compared to two and a half hours to get into Shanghai when we arrived.

The problem is that Shanghai already has a major trafic problem even though there are not many private cars. There is a real problem with air polution which the Magleve should help to reduce. Another major balancing act!
