Nice scenery too, I once did the Tranzalpine Express trip from Christchurch to the West Coast and return, one of the best rail trips I have done anywhere in the world.

It does happen in the Uk its just that we get the wrong type of snow.

A great old film taken long before the Elf and Safety brigade began their march. Could you imagine how long a safety case report would take to do the same job? The snow would have melted before it was finished!
