Wouldn't mind a go of this.
A friend of mine has just sent me this link, it looks like great fun:)

I got this in an E-mail earlier this week.
|
You can see many more of the same on Youtube.
|
And its not even fitted with wing or mini ploughs.
|
Nice scenery too, I once did the Tranzalpine Express trip from Christchurch to the West Coast and return, one of the best rail trips I have done anywhere in the world.
|
Really fascinating to watch this awesome job! How well it clears too! Amazed!
Cheers Phil |
I bet they could make a fortune charging for rides when their shifting snow!, I`d give my back teeth to have been on that footplate:) Good job its not in the UK though!......wrong type of snow:rolleyes:
Cliff. |
If that happened in the UK the HSE would have a fit of the vapours!
|
It does happen in the Uk its just that we get the wrong type of snow.
And not often enough for video types to catch it. The best film though is the one that features my North Eastern Railway Snowplough number 18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ugIoMD495E |
A great old film taken long before the Elf and Safety brigade began their march. Could you imagine how long a safety case report would take to do the same job? The snow would have melted before it was finished!
