Nice group of pictures there HM, thanks for posting. I grew up in Stalybridge and my dad was a bobby at Stalybridge until 1983, my uncle was a relief bobby on the Guide Bridge circuit, and my cousin was a guard at GB, but I think he had transferred to Buxton by the time those pics were taken.
