why dont eurostar owners just loan some tgv's off of sncf for a couple of months its cheaper and more economical

I thought the existing Eurostars were the only trains that met the current Eurotunnel safety rules (trains must be able to divide mid tunnel for evacuation purposes) so leasing other trains isnt an option. Unless they can get the rules changed.

french buggers

why is the goverment waisting money on a train thats basically french why not let the french buggers pay for this train for once at least,well thats my opinion on refurbishment!
