There was a time when the local station was a centre of activity. Its staff became "local characters" and shops and pubs all flourished in the trade it drew in.

Bledlow:More than a station lost.
I stood by the disused crossing gates when I was approached by the local postman. The station was on the Princes Risborough-Thame Line. The station ,now hidden by trees, is a "very" private house.
