Amerton Gala.

Its time for the Amerton narrow gauge railway gala, the event will take place on the 15-16 of June and will be opened by Mr Pete Waterman on the Saturday.
The event this year will feature six steam engines, so it should be of interest to everyone.
Amerton is situated 5 miles north of Stafford on the A518 road to Uttoxeter within the grounds of Amerton craft centre and farm,-------- see you there,!!!

Amerton Railway Steam Gala 15th & 16th June

Just a reminder that the Steam Gala at the 2ft gauge Amerton Railway takes place next weekend - 15th & 16th June.

Six locos in steam on both days:-

Resident locos:-

Bagnall "Isabel"
Hunslet "Jennie"
Wilbrighton Works "Paddy"

Plus our very welcome visitors;-

Kerr Stuart "Peter Pan"
Andrew Barclay "Jack"
Newly restored Hudswell Clarke "CSR19"
and a Marshall steam tractor adding road steam interest.

Both passenger and demonstration freight trains will run on both days, trains run from 11am to 5pm.

The Gala will be opened on Saturday morning by our special guest, Pete Waterman.

Plenty of steam activity on our picturesque line, with good photo opportunities. The Amerton Railway is on the A518 Stafford- Uttoxeter road about 7 miles eat of Stafford. Good access from the M6 Junction 14 and from the East Midlands via the A50/A518. Post Code ST18 0LA. See our website at:- www.amertonrailway.co.uk
If you have non-railway minded family members to consider, adjacent to the Amerton Railway is a craft centre, tea room, childrens play activities and garden centre, see:- www.amertonfarm.co.uk

We hope to see you at Amerton next weekend.
