6 Deltics are comming to Shildon

The local press are reporting that in October there will be 6 deltics at Shildon Locomotion (this includes the prototype which is there now).

BBC breakfast news this morning also reported on Royal Scots Grey's return to freight duties.

Sounds good to me, major 'Napier' business! Just need the 'Magnificent 7' surviving Westerns together once more some time in the future too (we got 5 at Laira in '91)

so is it that bad in this great land of ours we have to prop up the railway's with musium piceses? i have to say i don't mind having tham back on the rails but come on now. may be that's why the scot'sman is in black so if the grand central hst go down no one will notice. it being pull by an old steam loco!!!!! ps i would not mind that my self though
