Northern Rail Class 150 Seating

I was onboard a 150/1last night from Man Pic to Wigan WG and i could not help but notice that some seats had been recovered in striped upholistry and some in plain patterned upholistry this is something I have noticed on Northern Rails class 150s more than any of the other classes so is there any particular reason for this as looks really odd.
