Actually, those 155's were pretty good on that service. I'd have preferred what we had before though - 33 (or possibly 47) + mark 1 stock. Sometime in the summer of '88 (I THINK) the 155's were all temporarily withdrawn owing to a door defect, and for about three weeks we got the Cromptons back!

yes a loco with mk 1 stock.I just cant get into emus and dmus .A mate of mine who is a Driver instuctor Drove the first electric 315 to St Pancras in 1981 and that was the begining of boredom for me getting to London.He ended up Training Drivers down in Brighton.

I must admit I like units, but by liking units I mean decent slam door stuff diesel & electric..........I even have a guilty pleasure of liking 141's lol
