Police urge people to be vigilant after detonators were stolen from a Network Rail van in Derbyshire.

What idiots to knick them, but how come the van wasnt securely locked?

Perhaps it was. They could have been professional criminals looking for toools to flog and just grapped what they could once they got into the van. I'm presuming that the BBC are using van as in on the roads, as opposed to in frieght trains.
