Hello - from BLUE PETER

Hello my name is Peter and I have just joined Railway Forum and now live in
the Tunbridge Wells area of Kent.
I have been interested in Railways (and Transport in general) for over 50
years so was lucky enough to have been born at a time when Steam was an
everyday sight and was brought up on a diet LNER N7's working suburban
trains into Liverpool St. in London.
My nearest shed was Stratford (30A) which I believe had the largest steam
allocation in the country so had plenty of opportunity to indulge in my love of
steam.
I am particularly interested in all things LNER and also in "Industrial Steam"
and I suppose my only claim to fame was that my photograph of Beckton
Gasworks No.1 (N 1561/1870) was used on the cover of "Gas Light and
Steam", Malcolm Millichip's book on the history of the North Thames Gas
Board.
I am a member at the Spa Valley Railway, my nearest preserved
line, which is fortunate enough to have a genuine ex-BR shed.
Peter.
