New boy (age 66!)

Hi,

joined the forum because my wife has bought me an N gauge starter set for Christmas and I'd like to run the sort of trains I saw as a kid. See my 'Heveningham Hall goes east' thread under 'steam'! I know NOTHING about railways, but do know a bit about vintage motors.

Welcome to the forum. Do not worry too much about Rusty bits as it is not until you get to 67 that they start to drop off. At present I am slowly being dismantled by the dentist who is not sympathetic to my cause but then he drives a great big BMW car and bike so I suppose it is understandable. Maybe I can interest him in railways instead of him prattling on about cars.
