Advice needed

Hi All,
Greetings from a wrinkly in Cyprus.

I am currently writing a story, a large trunk has to be moved fom a moving train in a tunnel. The body in the trunk weighs about 150lb. There is maintence work so the train speed is reduced to less than walking pace.

Is it possible for three men to remove the trunk without being seen by the maintenace gang or anybody else officially in the tunnel?

Are all tunnels straight or perhaps have a bend?

Grateful for your advice.

David

Hi bizzybeez and welcome to the Forum. You'll be at home here with all the other wrinklies.

I see no problem with your three men moving a trunk from a train in a tunnel. In a tunnel of any length it would be quite dark, and unless the maintenance workers shone a light directly in the right direction they would be highly unlikely to be spotted. And many tunnels have bends in them.

Hi Boilersuit.
Thanks for the info. It was a great help. Wots a southerner doing in hfd? I used to live there, early 60's. Brilliant place//

I really need to focus on reading the entire post. At first glance I missed the " I am writing a story..." and only picked up the disposal of a 150 lb body stowed in a trunk while the train is in a tunnel!

I was truly alarmed for a moment! My loving wife would probably describe this as typical in some way of most things I do!
