Hi, Squeaky88, DSY011,pavorossi, John H-T & proud2brrer

Thanks for your msgs. Sorry to take so long to reply - moving house.
Joe, you are not alone, all too often the only mental exercise I get is jumping to conclusions.
John H-T, Book just about finished but I am rereading it for the thousandth time and still making amendments.
Below is a passage if it doesn't feel kosha or is a load of rubbish please let me know: Mary was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and she was inconsolable. Her immediate superiors arranged to bring forward her replacement date, and made arrangements made for her immediate return to Northern Ireland.

The Holyhead train arrived on time. Mary waited at the end of the platform frowning at the noise as it rumbled by. The penultimate carriage stopped almost opposite to where she stood. Her travel instructions covered all aspects of the journey including reserving a seat for her as near as possible to the Guards Van. She boarded the train found her reserved seat and looked for her escort. As the train began to pull away from the station, she assumed the escort would join her somewhere en-route; the seating arrangement would make it easier for the escort to locate her, and the shamrock broach on her left breast being confirmation. A different escort would meet her at Holyhead and accompany her on the ferry journey to Dublin and thence to Belfast.

Matt took the same almost empty train, he was aware of her seating arrangements. He was also aware that a timely accident would ensure her escort would not board the train.

She sat at the back of the train in the last compartment before the Guard’s van; he simply approached her, believing her escort had arrived Mary invited him to sit. Seizing the opportunity, he knocked her unconscious. With the assistance of two colleagues, Matt carried her into the Guards Van and forced her body into a trunk. Together with the aid of a third colleague employed by British Rail, who knew work on the track would cause the train would slow down in or stop in a particular tunnel. When the train was moving at less than walking pace they spirited the trunk away from the train and carried it to a small pick-up waiting nearby. They deposited the trunk in an outbuilding next to an empty cottage in the middle of nowhere.
