Ballot to be held after train row (BBC News)

The RMT union plans to ballot its members for industrial action following a dispute with ScotRail over driver only trains.

When does the driver check and issue tickets? I thought that the Glasgow area had a problem with fare dodgers. (As does every conurbation).
How does the driver keep order in the train in motion?
In event of a breakdown/accident, which way does the driver run to protect his train?
