Victorian tunnel to undergo major repairs .

Network Rail will shortly begin repair work to a West Coast Mainline tunnel.

Crick tunnel, a 140-year-old Victorian tunnel on the Northampton loop, suffers from frequent floods, slowing down and delaying both passenger and freight trains. 2012 and 2020 saw over 15,000 minutes of delays (over 10 full days!).

More details.
