help with jhonsons 1P 0-4-4t

about 3-4 years ago i had my 1st tender steps with scratch building i bought a drawing from the net and had a go i did not really have the tools needed and a lot of work was done with a dremel mini drill and made most bits my self dome chimney etc. baying only what i had too wheels buffer motor and gear box they did work up to a point but on one. though i was put of ever finishing them when i brought a Alain Gibson chassis and when put next to the drawing they did not mach up.

so today i have had them back out to have a go at putting them right and hopefully running i have taken some measurements and would like to ask if ether one is correct for the 0-4-4t tank also i will add some photos and would like to hear any criticism to find out if i am better of starting from scratch

The later Johnson 0-4-4Ts had the following dimensions to the nearest inch:

Front buffer beam to first driving wheel centre: 7'4"
1st driving wheel centre to 2nd driving wheel center: 8'0"
2nd driving wheel center to bogie center: 11'3"
Bogie center to rear buffer beam: 4'8"
Bogie wheel base 5'6"

thanks for that, that helps alot as dose the source too i have some of that set of books vol 3 as just become the 4th i'll be picking up

Other reliable sources on the 0-4-4Ts are:

Midland Railway Locomotives (4 vols) Stephen Summerson. The 0-4-4Ts are in vol 3. Irwell Press.

Midland Engines Vol 1., 1833 and 2228 Blass Bogie passenger tanks, James, Hunt and Essery, Wild Swan.

An Illustrated History of LMS Locomotives Vol 4 Absorbed Pre-group Classes, Midland Division; Essery and Jenkinson. Silver Link Publishing.

Sadly none of these come cheap!

i'ed better save up for some new books by the look of it thanks again
