Wonder if they re-number them too it would be nicer to look for a 601xx than a 70xxx

Seen a 60 today about mid morning when out freight spotting. It was 60045 I think now and it had a nameplate which I did not have chance to read. Still in EWS livery and rather grubby. It was probably bound for Peak Forest.

Good to see DBS putting some money in creating the so called 'super 60's', 60011 looks good in the Red livery, plans for 21 of them to be overhauled for at least another 15 years service..plenty of spares available!

60s At Peak Forrest On Monday 28/3/11
60045 was on the Hope Street empty stone back to Ceemex at Dove Holes and the silver 60099 was shunting in Dove Holes Quarry its own train the Tunstead-Oakleigh afternoon train was cancelled, My photos taken on Monday are on the Gallery. Baz

Saw 60045 The Permanent Way Institution today thundering back to Peak Forest with a train of empties.
The loco was still in EWS livery and fairly filthy, byt the nameplate was nicely polished. The train was shorter than usual, perhaps only half the length of the average train.
