The date and other details for running into platform two at matlock are now on the Peak Rail website under special events.
The S&T recent work gallery on fotopic has been updated with a few new pictures

Matlock Riverside connection

Hi All,

I am fascinated by by this momentous event but am unable to find any photos as all relevent sites are down.

Surely PR should recognize the value of the publicity that would be generated by this. Why is there no progress photos on their website?

I recommend a full page ad in the Sunday Times...

There are pictures on the Peak Rail website but sadly they are in the members only area. We will be down at Matlock next weekend so I will take some pictures of the new track etc and post them on Flickr if that helps
We had over 200 pictures on fotopic of the work being done for Matlock
Fotopic has been down for two weeks now so i have uploaded the most recent pictures from the S & T Dept to Flickr, I have yet to add this weeks photos. http://www.flickr.com/photos/60544131@N06/
Sadly I do not have time to rebuild the entire gallery at the moment as quite a lot of my spare time is being taken up with things for Matlock such as restoring signal lamps at home
Please note the flickr photos are only temporary until I rebuild the full gallery elsewhere

Not sure about the advert in the Sunday Times as a full page ad in the travel section is only £42,655 just a tad more than the railway may want to pay I imagine

Pete

Peak Rail

Thanks Pete,

Have found the photos on Flickr. I see you did get a quote from the ST then!

Seriously though, well done to all of you for getting this far. It's a magnificent achievment.

Please don't underestimate the value of publicity in the public domain; there is more interest outside the railway world that you might imagine..

I don't have any curent pictures of my own at the moment but as i will be working at Riverside this weekend I will take some and post them here Sunday evening.
I understand that the track is now laid right up to the green gates at the end of Network Rail's track

Pete
