Hello Budgie and welcome to the forum. I assume you are researching the family tree? Hope you have plenty of patience,we've been doing ours since 1985 and I still can't sort out my mother's grandparents!
Anyway, have you tried the national archives? www.nationalarchives.gov.uk will get you started. Also a book "Was your grandfather a railwayman?" is available,Try the www.familyhistorybookshop.co.uk for that. Then there's the Railway Family History Society at www.railwayancestors.org.uk . Also, possibly the National Railway Museum, Leeman Road, York., may have some idea about what records exist and where.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your quest, all the best, 62440.

Welcome to the Forum Budgie.

The LMS Employee Records are kept at Kew Public Records Office.

Best wishes,

John H-T; I think you'll find that's called The National Archives nowadays, changed it's name several years ago but most people still call it The Public Records Office which is O.K. until you need the website. Regards, 62440

Cool A great big thankyou !!

Hello to all that replied to my request for info on the LMS records regarding
my Grandfather who was a loco driver.
Unfortunately, due to life's pains, I never got round to achieving what I set
out to do, i.e. tracing my grand-dads work records.
I'm now back on track, steamed up and ready to go to achieve my aim and all
with the help and information from you wonderful people on the Forum.
Once again, thank you Guy's for your info and anything else that may
assist me in my Quest..........Kind regards.......budgie.
