And are they a law unto themselves after axing Brighton/Gatwick services without a formal closure notice? yep.

If the guy who cleans the toilets in a government department leaves a dirty wash bowl, I bet the least he gets is a written warning.
These incompetent morons waste "our" money to the tune of millions of pounds, and no one has even had their wrist slapped. In fact whoever has headed this "balls up" has probably been promoted and given a bonus.
Its only our money though chaps. They can always put a bit on cigs and peterol to get that back.
Morons!.
Paul.

The croneyism and arrogance of the Brown Government is breath-taking.

I'm so outraged, I think shall send my gong back when they try to give it to me.

Everybody needs a 303
Lee Enfield I presume? A very effective way of dealing with such people.

Ha, you noticed that. It's actually a little pun, which covers two major periods of my life. When I first heard the expression I thought what you did.

Like probably quite a few people on here I've been involved with Lee Enfields in the past. Remember the MkIV, a beautiful piece of engineering from the time when PCs didn't exist, and Britons made a living using blast furnaces and lathes ?

But at the other end of the technology scale it's also a reference to the first Fatboy Slim track, Linky here ..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everybody_Needs_a_303 . The device mentioned is a Roland TB-303.

I thought class 303s ran in the Glasgow area, and later some moved to the electrified lines in the North West. I don't think one ever made in to Enfield (either station) !

So I guess that adds a third meaning to my signature

And full marks for getting the thread back onto a railway topic
