Preston station info

Hi, my wife and I are booked on the 'Hills Of The North' tour on 31st January where the stop is at Preston. We are in standard class, so have to get some food on the journey, but my wife has to have wheat free food. Can anyone advise if the restaurant on Preston station is likely to be able to help and if not, does anyone know if there is somewhere near the station that does have a variety of food ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Toby

Hi Toby,
I think it's fair to say that the choice of food available on Preston station will be very similar to that available at most other mainline stations in the country. If this is likely to be a problem then I would suggest that you take something suitable with you. The one hour stop isn't going to allow you much time to go hunting for a restaurant in Preston especially if your train is running late.
