India passenger train derails

Several coaches of a passenger train have derailed in India's Maharashtra state, killing at least two people and injuring 25 others, reports say.

India's railway network operates 9,000 passenger trains and carries some 18 million passengers every day.

19 million pax a day, wonder if their the ones who have paid for a seat. Can't see how they can state exactly the numbers taking into account the ones that cling on the roof and sides of trains.

That could be why they say "some 18 million passengers every day".
