So it definitly Looks like Stagecoach will refrubish the ex Central Trains 158's first but yet they may be swopped for the ones already done for SWT and Just change the Lettering.[/QUOTE]

So it's Stagecoach who are behind the "South West Trains" brand. If I remember correctly they were the one's that introduced a very big increase in ticket prices part way through this year, having already increased their ticket prices in January. It was also reported that a number of young ladies refused to buy tickets after the ticket prices increased and when conductors asked them for tickets they started stripping!

It's not always obvious who's running franchisees. Serco NedRailways use names like Merseyrail, Northern Rail while Arriva have used names like Arriva Trains Merseyside and Arriva Trains Northern and now Arriva Trains Wales (although I think Arriva Wales and Borders or Arriva Wales and West would have been better names as routes like Chester to Crewe don't go in to Wales and Manchester to Carmarthern/Milford Haven travel for more than 100 miles in England.) First Group also do likewise but apparently Kelios forbid them from using the name First Transpennine Express, but they are allowed to say "Transpennine Express" and have a First logo on their trains, website and timetables.

The name Northern is prety boaring they Should have called it North West & North East Railways.

Thats the best thing about Stagecoach the name gives interest as to where the train has come from.
