Rail services disrupted by work (BBC News)

Rail services are disrupted over the holiday weekend due to engineering work on the West Coast Mainline.

Ah yes I happened to be at Wilmslow station today with all of those diversions. Actually I forgot about it, and was suprised to see a Voyager on the opposite platform. They had only one station attendant controlling all trains on arrival and he was pace walking all over so many more trains for Manchester via Stockport.

Makes you wonder why they don't have some weekend trains running that route and not all reserved for Macc and Stoke.
