I've seen the royal skips on engineering trains around the south east of England.

I could be wrong (I probably am ) but I get the feeling that the royal 67's are used on other workings more often than the 47's were.

Probably are. I've seen a photo of a royal 47 hauling a failed virgin 90 and Mk2 set but I've seen the royal 67s work all sorts.

This may be a bit off topic but you will probably find the royal 67s and the rest on all sorts of stuff now beacuse of the amount of 66s going over to France. A couple of weeks ago, EWS operated a 67 driver training run from Hoo Junction - Hoo Junction via the Medway Valley line, Tonbridge, Rye, Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton and reverse.

Could also be why the few remaining EWS 37's are still working pretty hard.
