Enfield Town station

This photo shows Enfield Town station about middle 1950s judging by the cars in view. If you look in the top right hand corner of the photo you an just about make out our shed. In the road at the side of the shed you can just about see the outline of an N7.
Not that long after this photo was taken this lovely old station was demolished and replaced by a flat roofed abomination. BR demolished hundreds of wonderful old station buildings in this way.
The cars look like a Morris Minor and a Vauxhall Wyvern or Velox, and the old red phonebox is worthy of note as is the coal merchants office. I've added a photo of how the station looks now.
