Diesel & electric nos

I would like to know what anyone else thinks but I would like to see preserved Diesels & electrics go back to their pre-TOPS nos & original liveries, the few that I've seen look so much nicer than some of the current liveries. I still struggle to identify some classes because of their TOPS nos. Your views please?

Me for one, I think they should be as they came out of the factory when first delivered to BR New. Also, you can't beat the old D prefix before the number and E on electrics. TOPS gets confusing with numbers changing all the time.

Although I grew up in the BR blue era, I prefer to see them in BR green (or maroon for the Westerns & Warships!) with their pre-TOPS numbers. Just a personal preference as I think the green looks better than the blue!
