Swansea District Line

The current Working Timetables (PB09) show the Mondays-Fridays 1B97 12:50 Fishguard Harbour to Cardiff Central running via the Swansea District line. Can anyone tell me if it actually uses that route rather than the alternative via Gowerton and Neath?

I haven't done a detailed search of other dates but last Friday it went via the Swansea District line according to Realtime Trains.
