The trouble is that at this rate it will be 2018 when the 315s are replaced (under Crossrail) and even then they will still operate on the West Anglian Network (by then the 315s will be 50 years old)

So it si time to order 154 Class 379s so that the class 317 (including stored examples) and 321 fleet can replace the 315s
