Q1

I'm thinking of investing in a Hornby Q1. Has anyone got any experience of them, and if so are they any good? I'm not really a modeller, but just enjoy running the trains (I've yet to get any scenery!) so how are they in leymans terms?

Have a look at this web site http://www.semg.org.uk/model/q1rev.html . I don't have a Q1. I won't say that I won't get one, they do look good. The standard of hornby models are very high, in fact the standard of all the leading manufactures latest models are high. If you are not really a modeller, then all that will interest you is the super detail also that it has a nice smooth running motor, for the slow moving stop and starts. It is a unique train a little different from the rest. I would recommend the weathered Q1 as it is an industrial engine.
