Smile Derby Station at night

Hi guy's
In a few weeks i have to go to Derby on a course for work,i am just thinking is it safe on Derby station after 6 o'clock in the everning and do you get any trouble for the rail staff there,or do they just let you get on with what your doing.
And is the area safe at that time of day.
Thanks Ian White

I was at Derby Station on Friday on my way back from Cornwall about 4.00pm and all seemed fine. Also when I returned from the trip with Princess Elizabeth last February about 10.00pm on a Saturday all was calm and I had left my car in the car park!

I live just north of derby so perhaps we could meet up.

What about the wierdo's that watch the trains, and I count myself in that category.
Seriously though I cannot comment on the safety aspect of Derby Station, even though I only live 9 miles away. I think its safe to say that you keep a lookout wherever you are nowdays, but to be fair I have never had problems at Derby whatever time of day I have been there.
Paul.

John,i am a derby lad,it is safe, and you will not get hassled by station staff.
While you are in that area try the Brunswick, and next door the Alexander, both
about 200yds from the station, both proper REAL ALE pubs.
Welcome to Derby Midland.
All the best,Roger.

On the subject of Derby station they are making real progress with the development. Ive seen showers being fitted on platform 2B, and the new canopies along with statios signs really modernises the station at the front end. Will be spectacular when they eventually do all platforms.

To be honest I have never been at night I would imagine that its perfectly safe. If you get chance try it in the day time you get all sorts of stuff knocking about very interesting movements from the test centre and stuff coming in deffo worth a visit
