Hi from the Wigan/Warrington area

Hi, I'm Pete from the Wigan/Warrington area. I don't work on the railways but have lived near the WCML for 30 years, my main spotting time was the late 70s, early 80s with lots of 40s, 47s, 24s, 25s and electrics.

I am building a model railway based on the Golborne area and would welcome any info from anybody who remembers the colliery, station, exchange sidings, and local branch lines particularly the Haydock metals/Kelbit bitumen branch. I'll start a thread specific to this elsewhere.

Good luck with the forum!
