The Blue Spot Fish Special.

The first fish special on British Railways to have vehicles fitted with roller bearing axleboxes left Aberdeen for Kings Cross at 12.30pm on January 20th 1958.
Every van had a distinctive blue spot circle on a white background painted on each side and these vehicles were used only for the express fish service. Of the 275 vans to be fitted with roller bearings axleboxes, 100 had already been completed at the start of the service.
