Hello, Greetings etc
Hi everyone!
My name is Rob Bray, I'm 23 years of age and I live in a little town called St. Annes-On-Sea in Lancashire, UK. I am originally from Stockport and I moved up to the Fylde Coast in March of this year. Now, more about me! - I started off as a trainspotter and regularly visited Crewe, Chester, Preston and Manchester Piccadilly between '93 and '95 from where I became a 'basher'. This was mostly on Class 37 hauled trains along the North Wales Coast and the AC electrics along the WCML, Class 86s, 87s and 90s. Railway wise, I'm into English Electric (Class 37s being my favourite, followed close behind by the Class 40s and then 20s, 50s and 'Deltics'). I'm into Class 56s too, again another loco I grew up with! I will also go for Type 2 and 3 Sulzers (24s to 33s). Finally, amongst all the locos, I follow Class 101 met-camm DMUs (as well as other 'Heritage' DMUs - even the class 142 'Pacer' are at a respectable age and I'm developing a soft spot for them! I also like classic buses and trams (Blackpool trams being the ones I mainly go for). Anyway, moving on! Music, I follow Heavy Metal ('70s up to the present day), Rock and early 90s dance. Other stuff I like is Darts (Phil Taylor, Terry Jenkins, Darryl Fitton and Tony O' Shea being the big 4!), Rugby (Sale Sharks, Union), Football (Man Utd), Comedy (Billy Connelly, Frankie Boyle, Peter Kay, Paddy McGuiness, Micheal McIntyre....to name but only a few!) and walking (when the weather is decent, I can walk for miles!). Hi Rob, welcome to the forum. Details about your interests show that you are a very dedicated rail enthusiast. I shall look forward to reading your posts.
It's nice to see some more of the younger generation taking an interest in motive power. Until coming onto this site I was of the opinion that it was just us "old sods" that were still interested from our childhood steam days.
