Saw to Ex-load haul class 60"s today at Immingham pulling some EWS hta coal wagons,around 3 oclock in the afternoon......

Class 60s

I used to love driving these locos on the Settle to Carlisle rly,better than being shaken to death on a 66.

Whilst working in Gloucester this week i have seen 60 071,096,010 an 049 all working long an heavy fuel trains going to an coming from Westerleigh an South Wales. Will let you all know what others of the Class i see this week if DB send any more of the Class by where i'm working.

I totally agree 66 were the same pulling 38 loaded HAA's out of Hunslet East, that lasted 2 days then we got 60's no further probs.
Are you from HM or KY?

To HM181 i was at KY 1990-2000, HM2000-2002 and now at Intermodal Leeds and only go on cl66s

I see in this weeks "Railway Herald" some class 60's are going to be fully refurbished.

Good news.

They will be spending £3 million to make 7 "super class 60's" and extend their working life by 15 years. 14 more will follow later. All this will be done at Toton.

Super class "60"s sound very interesting indeed
