Hello from the South Coast!!

Just like to say hi as I've just joined this forum. I'm originally from Birmingham which is where my interest in Railways began (back in the late 70's). I used to spend a fair bit of time down at Bescot. Although the current railway scene doesn't particularly interest me (to many multiple units), I still get the camera out from time to time!!
I'm also building a 17"x11" "00" gauge layout in the loft for my son (and for me!!).

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve and welcome to the Forum. You said "I'm also building a 17"x11" "00" gauge layout in the loft for my son (and for me!!)". Are you sure, I bet that what it should have read is "I'm also building a 17"x11" "00" gauge layout in the loft for me (and for my son)". Please keep us posted with the layout and lots of photos during construction and remember it is all for fun.
Good luck.

Welcome to the forum Steve.
Don't want to appear "picky" but isn't 17" x 11" awfully small for a layout?

Not a problem Steve Just make it 17' x 11'. That way you will be able to run the trains (small engine only) more than one foot.
