LynBarn says "hello!"

Hi, I've just subscribed to this forum, having seen a Google alert mentioning the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway which, as you may guess from my user name, is a pet subject of mine. Rather perversely, I live not in North Devon, but in Kent, so visits to Woody Bay aren't as frequent as I would like, however I try to do my bit by looking after the L&B websites, discussion groups etc.

My local lines are K&ESR, Spa Valley, RH&DLR, BWLR and (soon to reopen) the S&KLR, plus, a little further afield, the Bluebell, so I'm well served with heritage steam - if only I had the time and money to go with them!

Welcome to the forum Martyn, from another Southerner! I'm very familiar with all the South East lines that you mention, with the exception of Bredgar & Wormshill which, for one reason or another, I haven't yet managed to visit. Must go there soon, likewise the L&B, which I haven't got to yet either.

Regards,
Tony

Hello Martyn and welcome to the Railway Forum. I don't get down to Lynton as much as I used to, but I will have to make a plan after I retire next year.

Welcome to the Railway forum Martyn, Only visited the L&B once but it was a very good day out, especially liked the woody bay station.
Regards
